Pickle Roll Ups

Recipe #267649 | 5 min | 5 min prep | add private note

By: bellacola
Nov 25, 2007

My mom used to make this as a simple and addictive appetizer when I was a kid. I have NEVER seen this anywhere, but my guess is that it's a Midwestern type dish. The flavors are unusual but incredibly good. The ham should NOT be paper thin, but should instead be more thickly sliced.

6 slices (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Blot dry the ham and pickle.
  2. 2
Spread the cream cheese on the ham slice.
  3. 3
Place the pickle on the ham slice and roll up.
  4. 4
    Slice into rounds.

These are SO easy to make. I first had them when I was a kid too! Super simple but addictive.

I Love These, they are so simple but sooo good! The flavours just go together so well. sometimes helps to very slightly warm the cream cheese up, and also let the rolls sit in the fridge for an hour or two before slicing them they set up better that way

I too remember these from childhood - you can also make them with sour cream instead of cream cheese and pastrami instead of ham.
