An amazingly good dessert, packed full of carbs and all sorts of otherwise unhealthy stuff, from my good friend Bob in SSM Michigan...a tweeak of my own, to make it just a bit "different"

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Spread pecans in pie shell.
  2. 2
Mix remaining infredients with a wire whish and pour over pecans.
  3. 3
Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees 40-50 minutes until filling is "set".
  4. 4
    Cool and serve.
  5. 5
Use tart shells as an alternative, make your own pie crust (not my skill set!).

This is an excellent pecan pie--the pecan-maple pairing is really delicious!! I scaled the recipe down to one serving and made a tiny pie for DH and I, and that was perfect (although measuring out 1/16 of teaspoon of maple extract was a bit of a challenge!). I'll definitely make this recipe again; the pecan pie recipe I've made for many past holiday dinners pales in comparison to this one, and has been retired! Thanks for a great recipe John DOH!!
