If you are a peach cobbler lover that eats around the peaches and goes for the crust, this is for you. Feel free to add more peaches if you want, but would recommend you trying it this way first. Found this in Betty Crocker's Best-Loved Recipes.

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

Directions

  1. 1
Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. 2
Stir together flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, the salt and baking powder.
  3. 3
Work in butter until mixture is crumbly.
  4. 4
Pat mixture firmly and evenly in bottom and halfway up sides of ungreased square pan, 8 x 8 x 2 inches.

    Arrange peaches in pan.
  6. 6
Mix 1/3 cup sugar and the cinnamon.

  10. 10
    Pour over peaches.

We really enjoyed this dessert, especially since I was able to get some very nice ripe peaches for it! And, although I'm not a big fan of 'custard' it worked very well with this dish! Thanks for sharing a great recipe! [Tagged, made & reviewed in Please Review My Recipe]

Yummy! I made this as directed with fresh picked donut peaches. My crust burned a little bit but was still good. I enjoyed crunchy sugar cookie like crust with the sweet soft peaches, cinnamon and creamy custard on top. Made for the Holiday tag game.

Dh adored this. Says he's having some more for breakfast tomorrow. I doubled the recipe and baked it in a 9x13 pan. Don't know if the result is the same as the recipe as written. Next time I won't double it.

THANK YOU for posting this recipe! I used to make this in the early '80s and loved it. Since then, I have lost the BC cookbook with it and haven't been able to make it. Now this will be a guarded recipe for me. This is an easy recipe to make and the taste is incredible!
