This is a great recipe for a lot of insperation. I used white and shitaki mushrooms. Skipped the cheese but added a little bit of 10% cream and some cornstarch/water to thicken it up. The taste was great. I was looking for something to replace our old stand by(the condensed cream of mushroom soup) Thank you for the insperation, I wont be buying canned soup for sauces again!

This was very good. I really liked the simplicity of the recipe but yet it looked like restaurant quality. Some readers say it was a little bland. My rule of thumb is taste as you go; adjust the seasonings where you feel necessary. It always works for me

I used a bit of butter in this and quite a bit of a flavoured cream cheese (I had no parmesan). It turned out to be excellent. Also added some onion. Great easy and fast recipe to do. Thanks Bergy.

Simple, light, and delicious! Makes a great side dish. I also like to add some chicken breast to make it a whole meal.
