Party Punch (Kid- Friendly)

Recipe #273795 | 10 min | 10 min prep | add private note

By: KathleenP
Dec 26, 2007

This is a light, refreshing punch that is good for a party or shower...I made it for a family Christmas party and used lime sherbet, but I think any variety of sherbet would work well. At a family party of 25 people that had choices of soda-pop, beer, coffee, wine or punch--2/3 chose this punch, and several people asked for the recipe, including my 26 year old male cousin.

SERVES 30 , 30 cups (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 (2 liter) bottles of carbonated carbonated lemon-lime beverage (Sprite works well)

  • 1 1/2 gallons sherbet
  • 1 1/2 gallons pineapple juice
  • 1 lemon, sliced thin
  • 1 lime, sliced thin

Directions

  1. 1
In large punch bowl, combine sherbet with pineapple juice.
  2. 2
    Add lemon-lime soda.
  3. 3
Place lemon and lime slices on top of punch as a garnish.

Oh man! Was this ever yummy! I used lime sherbet. Everything else was followed exactly. I only halved the recipe. This would be yummy with orange sherbet and orange/lime slices. I will have to make it again! Thanks for sharing. Made for Spring PAC 2009.

Ooh! I love this! I haven't had it for ages (we always used to make it for sleepovers with rainbow sherbet). Your family chose well--I would pick this over soda, beer, coffee, or wine anyday! Yum yum. Thanks so much for posting this--now I can make it myself.
