I usually open a package of Trader Joe's Orange Chicken, cook up some rice and that's dinner. However, since I had the time and ingredients, decided to try this recipe and am glad I did. The chicken was tender and cooked just right and the flavor was wonderful- not too strong or too mild. It was so good that my husband even swept the floor after dinner without me asking! (I had corn starch all over the floor since I'm a messy cook!) I'll certainly be making this again.

I adjusted this recipe to please my 14-year-old. I only used 1/2 tsp minced ginger root instead of 1 T. For the Orange Sauce I used 1 1/2 T soy sauce, 1 1/2 T orange juice, 4 T sugar, 5 T white vinegar, orange zest to taste. I also serve it with toasted sesame seeds on top as it is done in the fine dining restos in New York City.

This is a great recipe. Actually tastes better than Panda Express. Family absolutely loves this dish. Definitely need to double the recipe for the orange sauce.
