Check these out before you say GROSS!! They're not what you think....Honest. I had these a while back at my stamp club, courtesy of another stamper. They are so popular around here right now that you can't find the pretzel rings or Hugs just anywhere. Hope you'll try them too! They're so simple, I'm kinda ashamed to call it a recipe......... ZWT MidAtlantic for the chocolate

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Preheat oven to 200 degrees farenheit.
  2. 2
Unwrap Hugs and place them on a cookie sheet.
  3. 3
Line it with waxed or parchment paper for best results.
  4. 4
Place a pretzel around the hug.
  5. 5
Don't worry if it doesn't drop to the base of the hug.
  6. 6
Bake for approximately three and a half minutes.
  7. 7
Immediately place an M&M in the center of the Hug and press down slightly to flatten.
  8. 8
    Cool.
  9. 9
I also place them in refrigerator to speed the set up process.

These were so cute and easy. Apparently I missed the boat on these because when I took them to our family picnic my cousins already knew all about them. They went really fast and were quick to make, which was good because I was having an 'off day' in the cooking department. Thanks for sharing.

Well, after reading the ingredients I went straight to the store and bought them. I read the reviews and my favorite candy bar is the take 5 so as a few of the readers said, I used the peanut butter pretzels from Snyder. I also prefer dark chocolate so I used dark chocolate kisses and dark chocolate m&m's and these were to die for. They taste so much like take 5's. They were so easy to make and absolutely delicious. Mine, however, did not look like eyes, but I dont care, they were awesome!!! I would give it 10 stars but, well....they dont have 10

I did these a little different, I could not find round pretzles or square pretzles so I used the small regular pretzles, and in the top two holes I put two hugs and when they were melted I placed two of the same colored M&M's, they looked like little individual owls unto themselves. I served them at our Mabon Party and they were a real hit!

Please forgive me, this will be a long review. I could not find the circle pretzels anywhere - so I got regular pretzels - which were a little too big. So, when I made the eyes, I put white chocolate chips in a circle, placed the kiss on top and then put the pretzel on top of that. When the white chocolate melted it acted like a glue and stuck the kiss and the pretzel together. After pressing the M&M on, my hubby swears that they looked like...um...a well endowed woman. Despite all this, the taste was fantastic. Thank you for the recipe - we all enjoyed it.
