Oreo Ice Cream Cake

This easy ice cream cake can be made days in advance. Try it with your favorite ice cream.

SERVES 10 -12 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    Crush 25 cookies; pat down in 9x13-inch pan.

    Melt margarine and chocolate in sauce pan.
  3. 3
    Add beaten eggs a little at a time and powdered sugar.
  4. 4
    Stir until warm and fudgy (do not boil).
  5. 5
    Spread over cookie crust.
  6. 6
    Freeze 30 minutes.
  7. 7
    Cut ice cream into sections and place in pan.
  8. 8
    Softened ice cream works best.
  9. 9
    Use a rubber spatula to smooth out top.
  10. 10
    Sprinkle remaining cookie crumbs on top.

    Freeze at least 2 hours, until solid.

    Cut and serve.

    This was great! Vey easy to make, I how ever didnt have any trouble with the bottom crust sticking together... I added some cool whip to the top before freezing it.. it was a hit, thanks for sharing!

    Made this yet again. For all of you that never have unsweetened chocolate, here's the substitution I always use:9 tbsp cocoa + 3 tbsp oil

    Loved by all! Rather than using eggs and powdered sugar, I just melted semisweet chocolate and butter in the microwave to make the hot fudge sauce. I also topped the cake with cool whip before freezing.
