These are really easy appetizers that you can make a few days in advance, and bake them the day they are needed. I am not a fan of onions, but these are delicious.

I was disappointed in this recipe. I followed it exactly except to add some cayenne pepper as others suggested as several reported the original recipe was too bland. Well, they were right. Even with the cayenne, I thought it was extremely bland. Would love it if someone would find a way to liven this up as I think this melted version of the traditional pinwheels is a great idea.

OMG! There are great! Hub helped me and he thought they were a little bland so we added some cayenne on the top and that really perked them up. Next time we will do add a little cooked pancetta and some cayenne in the spread. They were gobbled up quickly and recipe handed out. Thanks for a great recipe.

Wow! What can I say? I'm not a big fan of onions, but these are delicious. I guess I filled mine too much because it only filled 4 burrito-size tortillas. That's ok.. because these are terrific! They bake up so beautifully golden brown. Thanks for the great idea. A keeper for sure. I'll be sure to double the recipe next time. UPDATE: Please be sure to bake them long enough so that the onions caramelize and get a crusty golden brown color on each side. They taste much better that way.

I am rating this recipe again because the first time I forgot to put the stars on it ( and it deserves AT Least 5 stars)! I made this, along with other appetizers for Christmas Day. My DH and SIL are huge onion fans which is why I decided to try them. They were delicious! I was debating whether to make the whole recipe or halve it because of all the other food we were having but I figured I could always warm up any leftover later. There were none left! Thank you leilani for a great appetizer recipe! They were so easy to make. BTW-my sil asked me for the recipe-several times-until I finally got it to her.
