In a moment of weakness I tried this, and the cream cheese seems to have made it sickeningly sweet. If you're going to experiment with an exceedingly simply concept like Alfredo, give it some bite e.g. some prosciutto. Ugh.

I tried this recipe because I love Olive Garden Fettuccine, and I have to say that this recipe was very easy to follow and a big hit with the family. I have made it several times already and there is never any leftovers!!!!

If you change the t table spoons cream cheese to 8 ounce pack of cream cheese its better the Olive Gardens. Also if you are adding sea food such as Crab meat, shrimp, or Samon I think 2 oz. for clam juice would round out this dish. Its so good I put it on our menu once a week and sell out each time.

WOW!! This is as close as you can get to the Olive Garden's recipe. I used the 8oz cream cheese and also substituted the pint of heavy cream with 1 cup heavy cream & 1 cup half & half. It came out perfect. Thanks for sharing this incredible recipe.
