This makes your skin feel very soft, it is gentle and not messy. For a dry or sensitive skin use cream or olive oil as a binder, for an oily skin the yogurt. I have a dry skin and I like the cream best, and as that usually comes out of the fridge it makes a nice cool facial. If you have any left, treat your hands as well!

1 facial mask (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Grind the oats, I use my coffee grinder, mix with milk powder.
  2. 2
Use enough of the chosen binder to make a paste that is to your liking.
  3. 3
Put on your face and neck, leave for 20 minutes.
  4. 4
After the 20 minutes, gently massage your face for a minute or so, then rinse of with warm water.
  5. 5
If you like this mask, make a larger batch, 10 tablespoons oats, and 5 tablespoons milk.
  6. 6
Store in a jar, when you make it for a gift, attach a little card with instructions.

i won't give it a star rating because i would have given it a zero. i tried it with olive oil and followed it exactly. it just slipped off my face. i regularly cleanse my face with olive oil and like it very much. i imagine yogurt would stick. i tried to add honey to help it but it did not. i may have done something wrong. i tried it when it was drier and it wouldn't stick and then i added a little more. it was good and pasty but it just slipped off. thanks for the post though. other people seem to like it.

I used powdered milk and olive oil along with the oats. I loved how it made my face feel after using it. Soft and smooth as a baby's bottom! Thanks so much for sharing! Made for Zaar Stars Tag Game

Tried the olive oil version and i works well. More importantly it washes off relatively easily and you don't stink of olive oil!

I would like to try this version. The way I make it is to mix the oats with honey - messier grin The honey is an antibacterial, so its great for spotty outbreaks. The oats acts as an exfoliant.
