Nutella-Banana French Toast

Recipe #84843 | 11 min | 5 min prep

Gale Gand made crepes from Nutella and Bananas, and I just adapted her dish into a much easier recipe for French toast. What a way to start the day! I use whole wheat toast to make me think I'm eating healthy.

SERVES 1 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Spread Nutella on one slice of bread.
  2. 2
Cover the Nutella with thin slices of banana.
  3. 3
Place second slice of bread on top.
  4. 4
Beat egg, vanilla and milk together.
  5. 5
Dip the sandwich in the egg/milk mixture flipping to cover both sides.
  6. 6
Heat butter in skillet over medium heat.
  7. 7
Place sandwich in skillet and cook about 3 minutes per side until lightly browned and cooked through.
  8. 8
Dust french toast with confectioner's sugar and eat immediately.

So delicious! I made it for my sister's and mother and they absolutely loved it. Very yummy, I definitely have to try it with whole grain bread as well.

Scrumptious !! I used an entire banana and whole-wheat multi-grain bread, and I think, for my tastes, this is even better than white bread because the grains add a little something extra. Thanks for posting this simple gem !
