I tried to find this recipe on this site and couldn't, so I apologize if it's been posted before. This is a family tradition for us. My mom makes these meatballs every time we have a big family gathering and everybody eats until they're sick! They're just amazing!

SERVES 8 -10 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Saute onion in butter in a skillet until clear, but not brown. Add remaining ingredients. Make small meatballs. Brown in 2 Tbs. butter. Remove from skillet and put in casserole dish.
  2. 2
Put in skillet:2 Tbs. butter, 1 cup milk, ¼ teaspoons pepper, ½ teaspoons salt, and 1 teaspoons sugar.
  3. 3
Dissolve cornstarch (3 Tbs.) in a little water. Add to liquid. When thickened, pour over meatballs. Bake about 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

I gave this 4 stars because some of us like it and some of us weren't sure. I used turkey burger (because I got it on sale really cheap) and ground pork and I thought the meatballs were delicious. We weren't crazy about the sauce, but I can't figure out why. We will certainly make the meatballs again! Thank you for sharing your recipe! Made this for Spring PAC09.
