These are great, especially if you love the taste of smoked salmon. But we recommend eating them the same day, the day after they had kinda dried out some.

I was trying new appetizers for my Christmas buffet so only did half the recipe and yep, this one made it! The mixture was on the dry side so I added half tablespoon of sour cream. Thanks for sharing!

These eggs were terrific & another 5* from me too, Parsley
I made a half recipe for 2 of us as written & felt the mixture was a bit dry so I added a sml amt more of the butter & sour cream, but that may have been because my eggs were quite lrg. To add a color variant for the pic & dress them up a bit, I topped them w/3 sml capers & a tiny sliver of smoked salmon. W/eggs hard-boiled as the start, they take only minutes to make & are a new way (but classic as well) to enjoy our wealth of smoked salmon here in Iceland. Made for Photo Tag & thx for sharing this recipe w/us.
