I don't know why all these people are posting to put garlic, onions, potato skins in dog food recipes. They are all toxic ingredients for dogs. They cause pancreatitis. And in smaller doses can kill your family friend over a long period of time leaving your vet clueless as to why your dogs pancreas, kidneys or liver have failed.

My four doxies give this 5 stars and 4 wagging tails. Big hit with the canine set. Easy to make. Thanks for sharing.

Ok first let me say that I havent made these and I dont have dogs (I have three cats) but being a pet lover and always concerned about their health and well being,I give this recipe 5 plus plus stars for all the most excellent & incredibly nutritous ingredients, the unbleached flour, brewers yeast, garlic, wheat germ are absolutely nutritious and most benificial for your pets and all the ingredients listed are also used for human comsumption as well (So come on Pot scrubber, be adventurous, try one and let us all know LOL
I first seen this recipe in a holistic & homeopathic pet health care magazine subscription I subscribed to for several years called "for the love of animals" I wish I could remember the husband and wife vetranarian team names, their both pretty well known, highly respected nationwide for their animal health care practices.
They suscribe to feeding your animals with better quality food than you would buy at your local market pet food shelf, they suggest a more organic, natural, no preservetive added can food to begin with and to that add organic fresh slightly cooked and raw foods such as carrots, kale, beets, parsly, garlic slipped into thier can food as well as cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, flaxseed oil, omega 3 fatty acid essential oils (only the best quality oils mostly found from your healthfood store)
But anyways, you get the point, I can attest to the simple fact that just adding a little more homecooked meals and or more wholesome, organic, natural raw foods added to your pets diet means wayyyy less vet visits with chronic health problems from digestive and degenerative kidney, liver, cancer and skin diseses to the arthritic problems in the aging animal and will give your pet a longer and better quality of life!!!
"For the love of animals" they deserve the best as these biscuts are, although I dont know how it would affect the taste of the biscuts (I wouldnt think in a bad way) id suggest perhaps even trying the cold pressed extra virgin olive oil instead of the vegetable oil it would make these even a bit more healthier, my cats lap up olive oil I offer them on a spoon, they love it, its also a great way to prevent dasterdly furballs.
ok sorry for the long reveiw but I just adore animals and love giving them all the best that they deserve!!
and this recipe Rocks out loud!!!
Thanx so much Kuntry qtpi
I'll be making these for my friends dogs and darn right, im gonna try one for myself too LOL
