Have only made a recipe like this once or twice before, & this one tops whatever went before ~ REALLY OUTSTANDING! I did the SweetsLady thing & rolled bits of dough into balls! Had a great time making this very tasty bread! Will definitely be another time with this on my table! Thanks for posting it! Superb bread!! I used my KitchenAid to mix and knead. I used bread flour instead of all purpose. Instead of rolling out, I pulled apart dough and rolled into balls then dipped in butter. This was gobbled up! I can imagine possibilities with it as well to add to the pan - cinnamon sugar, garlic, cheese, etc. Thanks, Mary!

This is a super easy, super buttery recipe.
Usually Buddha does all our baking, but being the 'butterholic' that I am, I just had to try my luck at it with this recipe.
I too, had to knead the bread well rather than 'stir until blended' but really didn't see it as a problem.
I used buttermilk instead of regular milk and what I got was a wonderful ring of sweet and buttery bread slices!
This recipe is wonderful because you can have fresh rolls with the butter already in them and you no longer have to let your meal get cold while you butter your bread.
This would be great bread for breakfast (with jam on it, yummy) or dinner with a nice soup, stew, steak, or just about anything.

To start, I will say these were great! They tasted wonderful and went so well with our soup. I did have a bit of trouble with the instructions though
After step 5 where it said "Stir until blended" I kneaded the dough, my dough was quite floury and needed to be kneaded, lol. Also, I used a 10 inch tube pan, but there was too much dough, so I layered the remaining pieces in a regular loaf pan. Next time, I might do them all in a loaf pan. But overall, this is a wonderful, simple recipe.
