this recipe has been a family favorite for years. originally found it in Mable Hoffman's Crockery Cookery book. simple and delicious! shelli - thanks for putting the recipe on zaar so i can get rid of another book.

    Prepared as given and just great! It doesn't get any easier than this to have a warm, tasty, refreshing drink. My drink of choice this Christmas season! Can sit in crockpot several hours (if it lasts that long!)

    very nice recipe and good for gatherings. next time, i will use less sugar as we found the sweetness overpowered the tanginess of the cider
