Molasses Cookies

Recipe #312859 | 35 min | 20 min prep | add private note

My great grandmother used to make these cookies all the time. When she passed in 1996, no one else made them, until recently when I found her recipe box. Hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do. Note: When I made them, I didn't bother counting to see how many cookies came from one full batch, I will however estimate.

25 (2-inch) cookies (change servings and units)

These are wonderful! I refrigerated the dough about 6 hours before DH begged me to bake 1 batch. The dough was soft but perfectly useable by this time. The cookies are crisp and sweet and the spices are perfect. I had to laugh as I actually got 85, 2 inch cookies when I finished baking them today. A super bonus as far as I am concerned. It was very kind of you to share your Great Grandmother's recipe- Thank You. Made for Spring PAC 2009
