This is a traditional drink from Poland. It is good for getting you off to sleep. Simple 2 step recipe!

SERVES 1 , 1 cup (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon butter (optional)

Directions

  1. 1
    Put the milk & honey in a saucepan & slowly bring to the boil. Remove from the heat the second it reaches the boil.
  2. 2
    Add the butter if you have a cold & serve straight away for a good nights sleep.

    We tried this without the butter and it was very good. We tried it again with the butter and it was very, very good!

    This is an old insomnia "cure" in my family. It's very good and very relaxing for some reason. I never knew it was a Polish thing though! Sometimes I add a tiny bit of fresh mint to mine. Works just fine with lower % milk too Thanks Um Safia! I never would have known.
