These can be a easy appetizer or a light dinner. I received this recipe in an email from the Campbell's site, and after we made these for a tasty dinner, I knew I had to share!

24 mini tacos (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 lb hamburger

  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) package taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup salsa or picante sauce
  • 3 tablespoons salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar is good, but a Mexican blend would be good too)
  • sour cream (optional)
  • olives (optional)
  • guacamole (optional)

Directions

  1. 1
    Cook hamburger until browned.
  2. 2
Drain the fat and stir in taco mix and 1/2 cup salsa/picante sauce.
  3. 3
    Simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  4. 4
Press wonton wrappers into mini muffin cups.
  5. 5
Spoon beef mixture in cups and top with the 3 tbsp of salsa and cheese, evenly divided.
  6. 6
Bake in preheated 425°F oven for 8 minutes, or until the wontons are nicely browned.
  7. 7
Serve with extra salsa, sour cream, olives and guacamole if desired.
  8. 8
    ENJOY!

I made these for a young adult get together. They were so yummy! I doubled the recipe and should have tripled it at least. These were gone in a flash! Will definitely make again and again.

I made these for my SO and he really liked them. I used Azumaya large squares, rather than the smaller won ton rolls. It's the same product just bigger. I halved the recipe because it's just for him and it made 6 regular muffin size "tacos". FYI- I don't recommend spraying PAM or any other grease in the muffin tins because when I took them out they were greasy on the bottoms. So, I had to put them on a skillet and cook the bottoms until they were browned.I'll be making these again. Thanks for a wonderful idea!

we LOVED these.... I don't have mini-muffin tins, so I used regular muffin tins and they came out great. And the possibilities are endless.....ground pork w/ ginger terriyaki sauce, Italian sausage with mozzeralla, spinach, feta and sundried tomatoes.....

I borrowed this great supper idea from a "what's for supper" thread and boy am I glad I did!!! Everyone in the family loved these and they were so simple to whip up. I almost always have Tish's All Purpose Ground Meat Mix All Purpose Ground Meat Mix in the freezer and I will add this to my list of quick meals to make with it. I just made a double batch of homemade taco seasoning (Taco Seasoning Blend)and used 1 Tbsp of that instead of a package. Thanks for sharing this great recipe!
