My husband wanted burgers and I wanted something a little more interesting, so I came up with this little gem last night! You won't be dissapointed!

6 burgers (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Combine ground beef, egg, onion, garlic, nuts, lemon juice and spices in a large bowl.
  2. 2
Form patties and fry over medium-high heat until cooked through (about 10-15 minutes).
  3. 3
Serve in naan and top with hummus, and if you're feeling adventurous, a little chili oil to spice it up!

Turned out great considering i mistakingly left out the egg. DH said he had felt like eating this for a long time. We served this with falafel, tabouli, fried eggplants, and shoestring fries. Great thing about it is it took almost no time at all. These could be put onto skewers and BBQ'ed too. Thanks for posting!

My DH and I loved the flavor of these burgers. The addition of the pine nuts added great texture. I followed the recipe exactly and was very happy with the results. Thank you candygirl!

Excellent burgers! I thought I had to add the hummus to the burger mix, before reading the instructions .. I added about a quarter cup to the burger mix anyway, and they were the greatest burgers ever!! Thank you!!

What a wonderful combination of ingredients, you did a great job! I followed your instructions exactly. I used fresh mint from my garden and served it on pita bread. Loved the addition of the hummus. This is a great change of pace. Thank you for sharing.
