Microwave Asian Broccoli and Cauliflower

A quick and easy side dish. I like to use the SteamFresh broccoli and cauliflower mixture but you can use whatever you like.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Make broccoli and cauliflower mixture per package directions.
  2. 2
    Set aside.
  3. 3
    In a bowl, combine the onion and butter.
  4. 4
    Cover and microwave on high for 1 to 1-1/2 minutes or until onions are tender.

    Dissolve bouillon in hot water.
  6. 6
    Mix the cornstarch and cold water.
  7. 7
    Mix until smooth.
  8. 8
    Add soy sauce and pepper to bouillon mixture and mix well.
  9. 9
    Stir into onion mixture.
  10. 10
    Microwave, uncovered, at 70% power for 2-3 minutes or until sauce comes to a boil, stirring after each minute.

    Pour over cauliflower.

I almost always steam veggies in my steamer & that's how I did it for this recipe, then jumped to Step 3 & followed the rest of the directions right on down for a nice taste twist to veggies we really enjoy ~ This is certainly on my to-make-again list!
