Mexican Hot Chocolate Mix

Great for breakfasts, chilly nights, "I don't feel so good" days, and just when you want to relax! Sometimes I like to mix this half and half with coffee. Other times I like to let it cool down and pop it in the blender with some ice cream and make a milkshake! Hot chocolate isn't just for snow-days, you know!

Oh SueL, as usual, another wonderful recipe. I also used splenda instead of sugar, and cut back on the marshmallows a bit. I love Mexican hot chocolate and this was quite delish! Thanks for a keeper SueL. Made for Comfort Cafe, Jan 2009.

I thirded the recipe, omitted the non-dairy creamer, and added a dash of clove powder to the results. Marshmallows were added at mixing time depending on the mood. I like it!

This is a good recipe. I like the variation on the theme. I did end up adding about 3/4 of a cup extra sugar and about 1/2 cup extra cocoa. This will make great gifts. :D Thank you!

Delicious!!! I made up a batch, and it beats the pants off any commercial hot chocolate mix on the market. It's especially good made with a shot of chocolate liqueur - mmm, pure indulgence. I'm going to mix up another batch to give as gifts. Thanks, Sue!
