Mc Donald's Vanilla Iced Coffee (Copycat Recipe)

I love Mc Donald's Vanilla Iced Coffee, and this is my copy cat version of their iced coffee. Can't believe how good this is, and how much it tastes just like their iced coffee. It's quite delish!!

SERVES 5 , 58 ounces (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Add coffee grounds inside filter/basket, and adjust basket to fit coffee maker.
  2. 2
Pour cold water into coffee maker.
  3. 3
    Start brewing the coffee.
  4. 4
After coffee's done brewing, turn off coffee maker, and set pot aside for coffee to cool somewhat.
  5. 5
Combine brewed coffee and sweetened condensed milk into a large pitcher.
  6. 6
Stir thoroughly until coffee and condensed milk is blended together.
  7. 7
    Stir in the vanilla extract.
  8. 8
Refrigerate until coffee is chilled, then serve with glasses filled with ice.
  9. 9
(I usually prepare this earlier in the morning, and then drink it later in the day, or serve it the next morning).
  10. 10
This makes (58 oz.) of vanilla iced coffee, about 5-(12 oz.) servings each.
  11. 11
Note: Preptime and cook time may vary. Depending on your coffee maker, cook time may take less than time stated, or perhaps a few minutes more.

While it's yummy, it's not got the flavor of McDonalds...the proportions are off. The coffee's too strong and it's just a tad too sweet...needs tweaking.

I agree with another viewer that it was too sweet with just the recommened amount of coffee. I made a pitcher of this for my husband and I and had it in the fridge for a day or two and seemed like it kept getting sweeter. I might try it with more coffee next time in hopes that it tames the sugar!! Thanks for the recipe though.

This would be a 5 star totally, except I had to make a few adjustments. First of all, I made 10 cups of coffee for the one can of sweetened condensed milk. I used half a cup plus an 1/8 of a cup coffee to make it. It was way too sweet with only 6 1/3! Also, I think I will use vanilla syrup to cut down on the cost.. vanilla extract is pricey stuff! I will be making this daily. Thank you so much!
