Oh my Carolina stars....better double this recipe cuz' you will most definitely want leftovers of this delicious salad!!! I broiled my onions until they were almost blackened (with a bit of butter) and what a marvelous addition. Also added 2/3 of a bunch of fresh cilantro and 1/4 cup of raisins...yummy!

    What a great salad. I normally don't enjoy raw broccoli, but we all loved this! The amount of onion called for was too much for our tastes, so I just added as much as I thought we'd like. Will definitely be making again.

    I cater many events, and this is the favorite salad. The only change I do make is, I add white vinegar to the dressing. It makes a sweet sour taste which keeps everyone coming back for more, plus they want the recipe... Thank you for posting it....

    I made this salad as a side dish to our dinner tonight and it was delicious. Hubby even commented on how wonderful it was. The best part was how fast and easy it was to make! The only thing I did differently was instead of red wine vinegar, I used balsamic vinegarette. Absolutely a keeper! Thanks so much.
