Mark, a friend from work, submitted this in a work chili cook-off, however he gave it the title White Potato Chili...everyone loved it!!! This dish can also heat in a crockpot...

SERVES 12 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Put veggies in pot.
  2. 2
    Drain clam juice into veggie pot.
  3. 3
    Add water to cover.
  4. 4
    Boil until tender.
  5. 5
    Make white sauce with remaining ingredients.
  6. 6
    Melt butter.
  7. 7
    Stir in flour, salt, and pepper.
  8. 8
    Cook for 3 or 4 minutes.
  9. 9
    Add half and half, stirring continuously until thick.
  10. 10
    Add clams and veggies to white sauce.
  11. 11
    Heat through.

Very good I used milk instead of cream & still rich & creamy. I also added a little Old Bay seasoning. Will make again!!

    Tried this on vacation and convinced my relatives that I can cook. Made it for a sick friend that likes seafood and got rave reviews. Myself...I think it just might be the best I ever had.

    Yum-O!!! I added turkey bacon and I used skim milk instead of half and half for a lower calorie chowder. It was a delicious and easy recipe!
