Maple Slow Cooker Boneless Ribs

Recipe #319367 | ½ day | 5 min prep | add private note

Adapted from a recipe by Kimber at allrecipes.com. If you do not have real maple syrup, increase the amount to 1/3-1/2 cup. It will look like the amount of liquid is inadequate, but the meat will render plenty of juices!

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Sprinkle ribs with pepper and rub into surface. Place meat in slow cooker.
  2. 2
Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Pour sauce over meat.
  3. 3
Cook on low 6-8 hours or high 3-4 hours.

Needed a recipe for ribs w/out tomato stuff, since DD is allergic. I used 2 T real maple, 2 T veg. glycerin with 1/2 tsp natural maple flavoring, almost 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp powdered ginger and didn't have the Worc. or hot sauce. Used Bragg's for the soy sauce. Family liked it, although it was a bit too salty. Next time I will cut down on the soy sauce and be sure to use the Worc.

Has a really great and unique flavor. It would be really nice for a holiday dinner. Probably my fault, but the meat turned out kind of dry. Flavor was even better then next day during leftovers.

We are thrilled with this recipe. Neither my husband or myself like BBQ sauce and this recipe produced some of the best ribs that we've had in a long time. I used sugar free syrup and low sodium soy sauce due to my DH's health issues. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and DELICIOUS!!!!!

I used sugar free syrup and only had "whole" allspice...flavor turned out really good! I was leary of not adding more liquid - but to my suprise it worked fabulously...liquid came out of the boneless ribs and coverd the ribs for the most part!! I used the liquid to dip my bread in! MMMMMM...will definately make again - super easy!
