I too didn't use the whip cream as I only had cool whip in the house and I didn't think it would look that good in the photo. Based on Boomette's review I reduced the amount of maple syrup to 3-tablespoons and it was perfect. Made for Sunner '09 Comfort Cafe tag game.

Oh my goodness, Yummm! Beautifully flavored coffee that will be ideal in fall and winter. I used no sugar added maple syrup and what a smoothness it added. I also used fat free coffee creamer for the half and half. Since Boomie did such a good job of showing the coffee in her pic I thought I'd show a different presentation and made "coffee shots" using a yea set. The small coffee's were really fun and it would be a wonderful way to share this treat with a friend :D.

Very good cup of coffee! Like a maple nut candy bar. I cut the amount of syrup in half to cut down on sugar, but added 1/8th teaspoon of maple flavor (Mapleine) to make up for the lost maple flavor. Worked fine!

I didn't add the whipped cream on top since I used half and half. I really could not taste the maple syrup so added a touch more. I like my coffee black with sweetner unless it is a cold coffee LOL so this was "strange" for me . LOL I think next time I will do this as an iced coffee . Made for 1,2,3 Hit Wonders UPDATE: I just did this as an iced version and LOVED it
