My friend brought this torte to my house as part of a dinner party. I made dinner and she made this to-die-for dessert. She (evilly) left the rest of it in my place - I have been eating a piece every night for dessert. I heat it for 20 seconds in the microwave and spoon vanilla ice cream over it. My new favorite torte!!!! You have to try it.

This torte is sooooo AMAZING. I had a few friends over for dinner so I decided to try and impress them with this recipe and I had them ALL licking their plates clean. I don't know why more people haven't tried this wonderful dessert. I have full intention on distributing this recipe to every girl I know!! I didn't change a thing, and my torte came out PERFECT. The pears really give a nice subtle, different touch. I insist that EVERYONE on zaar try this one!

This is a fabulous recipe--I actually used it as a base for a wedding cake that I made for my cousin. Everyone was after me for the recipe, which I got from the "Cake Doctor" cookbook. The only change I made was to serve a sauce that was half hot fudge and half caramel ice cream toppings. Serve to friends, or at your next company dinner--an impressive dessert!

This exact dessert was served at a party I attended yesterday. It is DELICIOUS! Everyone asked for the recipe, including me. I was going to post it here, but found it had already been posted. She served it with a dollop of whipped cream. Lovely presentation and an elegant, dessert. More folks should try it.
