This is one of my Mom's recipes, and one of my BF's favorites. Not sure why it's named after Loretta Lynn. It's really, really good, and we especially enjoy it with a summer BBQ.

Made it for a Bbq. but nobody really ate it. I liked it okay but just thought it was missing something. I used Cheddar cheese cuz thats what I had. I might try to make it again and next time blanch the vegetables slightly and add a little seasoning. Thanks

I made this the other day. It was really good. The vinegar was a bit of a surprise but the sugar (actually I used Splenda) I guess cut some of the tang. I also reduced the may by about 1/3 because I like my salads a bit drier than most. Nice flavor combination though. Thanks!

I had some leftover raw broccoli and cauliflower that needed using up, had some regular bacon too (that was my only sub!) and found this. Having everything else on hand, this was a great summer salad. Very good! Thanks Bratty!
