Lisa's Grilled Steak Marsala

I had this steak at my cousin Lisa's house one night, and had to have the recipe, it is SO GOOD! Thought I would share it with YOU!

SERVES 6 -8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 2-3 lbs steak, tips

  • 1 (16 ounce) bottle Italian salad dressing
  • 1 lb mushroom, cut, and sliced
  • 2 large onions, cut in half vertically and sliced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups dry marsala wine
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, depending on how much you like garlic
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. 1
    Marinate steak tips in Italian salad dressing for 2-24 hours.
  2. 2
    In a lg. teflon skillet add olive oil, then add mushrooms, onions, and garlic.
  3. 3
    Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  4. 4
    Add Marsala wine and let gently boil, until veggies are done, and wine has reduced.
  5. 5
    Grill steaks to desired doneness, and put on serving plate.
  6. 6
    Cover with veggies, and serve hot.

    I had this saved for some time and tried it as soon as it was warm enough outside to use the grill. My family gobbled up their steak in no time giving this the high five around the table. I have made it a couple of times since then and we just love it. A real keeper at my house! Thanks!

    This is by far one of the best recipes I have ever made on the grill using steaks. I used sirloin steaks about 1" thick. I marinated the steak for about 8 hrs. and the flavors were unbelievable in this dish! I will be giving this recipe out to everyone I know, and they will love me for it. Hehe! Thanks

    Outstanding grilled steak recipe Linda! I used sirloin steak instead of the tips and they came out so tender and the flavor was the best I have ever had. I could have eaten this all night, and I did have the last piece for a midnight snack This is definatly restaurant quality and I am SO GLAD I found it here!
