I make these when I make turkey dinners for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They are glazed but not overly so that they still mix well with all the other fixings that go along with turkey, gravy, potatoes, stuffing, etc...

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Boil or steam carrots in lightly salted water until tender, about 10 minutes.
  2. 2
Drain and return carrots to pot.
  3. 3
Add butter and brown sugar, stirring over medium heat for about 2 minutes, until "glazed".
  4. 4
    Serve.

I make these all the time as a simple everyday-dinner sidedish, my daughter loves them! Just fantastic :D Sometimes I substitute some honey for the sugar as well, tastes just as lovely.

Really easy and good! This is so easy to make, and the flavors are so nice...it doesn't overpower the other dishes. I will make this again. Made for ZWT5. Thanks for posting.

Easy and delicious. The ratio of sugar and butter was perfect. Made this for ZWT Jammin Java Jivers, and I will definitely be making it again. Served this with Brennan's Crabmeat Imperial and Creole Boiled Rice. Thanks for posting, Babzy!
