Lemon Drop Martini

Tart and delicious, sweet and lemony. Go easy on these! Recipe courtesy "What's Cooking America"

SERVES 1 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Chill martini glasses in freezer for at least 10 minutes prior to serving.
  2. 2
    Place Vodka, Triple Sec, lemon juice and sugar into a cocktail shaker with 4-5 ice cubes and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
  3. 3
    Run the lemon twist around the edge of the chilled martini glass and dunk in a small amount of sugar for a coated rim.
  4. 4
    Pour the strained martini into the chilled glasses and serve.

Very tart, and very strong! I skipped the sugared rim, which was a mistake. This drink is pretty good as is, but a little Grand Mariner instead of triple sec would put it over the top! For now, I think I'll stick with my beloved cosmos...

    Yummy, I love tart so increased the lemon juice and decreased the sugar. Loved it sitting on the porch watching the world go by - thanks so much for a real winner and something differant from the sour apple martinis.

    These are incredible! They're tart, sweet, cold and refreshing. And veeeery dangerous, lol. I made a pitcher of these the first time, and my dh and I finished the whole thing. Second time was on the 4th of July, everyone LOVED them! I will make these often, I always have these few ingredients on hand. Thanks Denise!
