Love, love, love this cake. Not sure if it is comparable to Starbucks ( we don't have one here- darn it! ) but I love the dense texture. Made it 2 times and both times made one cake with double the syrup-thanx to JustJim for this suggestion- and it soaked it all up!! YUM YUM YUM!!

Nice recipe, but a bit too heavy for my taste. Less eggs (& sugar) and more leavening might improve it.

Delicious! I happen to love lemon cake, and this sort of reminds me of the kind that my friend makes! I made no alterations to this recipe, and I do not think it needs any. At least thats from my point of view. Thanks for the recipe!!

Love, Love, Love this cake. It takes a little bit more time but it is so worth it. My family loves this cake and I get so many brownie points for this one. Thank you Cookiedog.
