This is a great seafood stew for any weather, but really outstanding in cold weather. It also freezes well!

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Heat oil.

    Add onions, garlic, oregano and fennel.
  3. 3
    Sweat onions until tender.
  4. 4
    Add tomatoes, clam juice, wine and liquid from canned clams.
  5. 5
    Bring to stew consistency (about 15 minutes).

    Add shrimp, clams, and crab meat.
  7. 7
    Cook on medium heat about 2 minutes.

    Add basil, cayenne,and black pepper to taste.

    Simmer 2 more minutes.
