This recipe uses cherries, but I've used blackberries with good results. This is about the simplest cobbler recipe that you will find.

This is so easy and tastes great! I can't wait to try it with peaches. Made for Holiday Tag. Thanks for posting MG!

Made the Cobbler for dinner last night. Not one piece left. Of course, my 17 old son must have eaten more than half of it. Used canned cherries. Looking forward to trying other fruits. Thanks!

This is recipe is almost identical to one I have used before. The notable difference in this one is the 1/2 cup sugar that is sprinkled on the top before baking. What an amazing improvment! The crust turns out much crisper with a sweet crystalline crunch to it. I love this recipe and it throws together so quickly and the kitchen isn't a mess as it only takes a baking dish and a large mixing bowl. I have also made this with peaches with even better results. Be sure to use cling peaches in HEAVY syrup and sprinkle some cinnamon and brown sugar(in addition to the 1/2 cup white sugar) on top before baking. This sure is good.

This was quite good. I am going to try it again sometime though with a different type/brand of cherries because the can I used today in this recipe wasn't the greatest for this recipe I think. Overall it was very good and I will be making it again.
