This recipe has been a tradition in our house for years and we never seem to make enough because its just so good. We especially love it with Wheat Thins Crackers

This dip is delicious, but be careful it will give you a great deal of gas....sorry but that is what happens

I haven't made this version yet, but when I do make it, I serve it in a hollowed out loaf of pumpernickel bread. Put the chunks of bread around the bread bowl and even the bowl gets torn apart and eaten! Really good! Thanks for sharing!

My friend made this and it was really good, she told me she left out the water chestnuts. Update I too made it, and I noticed the directions both on the back of the Knorr soup mix and here fail to mention that you should blanch the baby spinach if it's fresh. Just place in boiling water for no more than 1 min (or less) just until it starts to wilt. Then squeeze as much water as possible and the spinach will break apart.
