Knock You Naked Brownies

Recipe #141225 | 45 min | 5 min prep | add private note
San Marcos Sunshine

I'm not sure if this recipe originated with Loretta LaRoche, a humorist/stress management consultant, but it ends with her quote. In any case, it’s the easiest, quickest, most heavenly chocolate delight you can imagine. (No bowl...almost no stir) Lock the door & turn on the oven, honey!

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. 2
Mix Bisquick, 1/2 cup sugar and 3 T. cocoa in a greased 8" x 8" glass baking dish. (I use a disposable aluminum pan sprayed with PAM.) Stir in the milk (or half & half) and vanilla until blended.
  3. 3
Sprinkle with the remaining 1/3 cup cocoa and 1/2 cup sugar. DO NOT STIR!
  4. 4
Sprinkle nuts over the top, if desired. Pour hot water over the top and DO NOT STIR!
  5. 5
Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes. The top will look and taste like a brownie, but underneath will be a YUMMERS rich hot chocolate sauce. If you serve it with vanilla ice cream, it's so good it'll Knock you Naked! (See why you locked the door?).
  6. 6
In the words of Loretta LaRoche, "Life is short, so wear your party pants!".

We followed the recipe exactly, but it just wasn't to our taste. It reminded my kids of a sundae, but they thought it was a little bitter. It tasted best served with icecream and it was better the second day. I think it was just not traditional enough. Thanks for sharing.

EVERYONE HAS TO TRY THIS! The name does not lie. I cut this recipe in half (probably a good thing because I think I ate about 1/4 of it before anyone else even had a chance to try it) It still came close to over flowing the aluminum pie plate that I baked it in. I think I overbaked it but OH WELL it was chewy and chocolate and completely perfect! It was EXTREMELY chocolately and the different textures were wonderful! I was asked if it just had chocolate pudding underneath the brownie top. ha. NOPE! Great 'secret' recipe! I don't think I want to give it away!

OH.MY.GAWD. Found this recipe by accident in a thread here on Zaar. I've had , out of a Betty Crocker Cookbook, Hot Fudge Sundae Cake , which is similar to this. This is faster, no oil , and to me tastes even better than my beloved Hot Fudge Sundae Cake! So intensely chocolatey , and believe me, that's not a bad thing! LOL I must agree with Breezytoo though , this could be dangerous!!! LOL Thanks so much for posting the recipe , and let me just say , my husband was sad my clothes didn't fly off LOLOLOL
