I used this recipe for my first ever attempt at homeade chili, and it was delicious! I loved the idea to have mushrooms in it. Thanks!!

Loved it. Omitted the mushrooms as I knew my grandsons would be unhappy with them. Did not add vinegar as I used Heinz Ketchup which already has vinegar in it. Feed it to a group of people ranging in age from 2 t 87 and they all raved about it! Thank you for great recipe which is destined to be a family favorite.

This was a little too sweet for my tastes. I think next time I'll decrease the amount of sugar and up the chili powder. I liked the mushrooms in it and the peppers and V8 added some nice flavor.

I made this for a football party, and everyone loved it and asked for the recipe. It made enough for a crowd of 12 with quite a few people going back for second helpings. The mushrooms surprised quite a few people, but no one complained! I only had a cup of ketchup and made up the difference with tomato sauce. I de-seeded the jalapenos, but next time won't do that so the chili will have more kick. We served the chili with shredded cheddar, chopped onions, and sour cream — excellent! Thank you, we'll be making this recipe often.
