This incredible breakfast will make you feel like a KING! Enjoy it before the others finish it up! These puris are an amazing treat to the eye and once they go into the mouth, you wouldnt look left or right, before finishing them up!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Just 5 ingredients make a delicious banana and poppy seeds puri.
  2. 2
To make this incredible puri, put the bananas in a bowl and mash.
  3. 3
You may use over-ripe bananas as well and those having brown spots are best to use (a great recipe to use them instead of feeding them to the dustbin).
  4. 4
    Add in the flour.
  5. 5
    Mix with your fingers.
  6. 6
    Add 2 tsp oil.
  7. 7
    Mix well.
  8. 8
Allow the dough to rest for 30 minutes.
  9. 9
Now put little oil on your palms.
  10. 10
Make small round balls out of the dough.
  11. 11
Dust them in khus-khus seeds, on either side.
  12. 12
Using a rolling pin, now roll them to the size of a regular puri.
  13. 13
Likewise, do for the entire dough.
  14. 14
Fry all the puris in oil.
  15. 15
When golden brown on one side, flip the puri and fry on the other side as well.
  16. 16
Serve immediately with potatoes vegetable (aloo ki bhaji) and your favourite pickle!
  17. 17
    YUM!

These are great! They're really pretty easy to make. They are quite satisfying and inexpensive to make. I used canola oil because the recipe didn't specify, and that seemed to work well. The balls I made were a little smaller than a ping-pong ball and I rolled them out to about 3" to 3 1/2" in diameter. I'll make these again, I'm sure. My husband loved them. Next time I might halve the recipe just to keep us from eating so many! Great way to use up bananas if you're tired of banana bread. It's a little odd, but they didn't taste a whole lot like banana. My husband didn't guess that's what was in them. That's a good thing in my opinion.
