Recipe #353780 | 4¾ hours | 35 min prep | add private note

By: KaptainKirk
Feb 3, 2009

We have a "chili bowl" competition every February to commemorate the SuperBowl. This recipe has evolved over the decades to become much more healthy, and tasty too!

SERVES 8 -15 , 2 gallons (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Fry the ground turkey down to where there is no juice, and the turkey is browning. Add garlic powder and onion powder, and plenty of chili powder.
  2. 2
Add turkey and other ingredients into 2.5 to 3 gallon pot- with lid.
  3. 3
Place lid on pot and place into oven at 245 degrees.
  4. 4
Stir and taste hourly. May need to add chili powder to enhance taste. Use the tomato juice to liquify the chili is too dry.
