I really liked this. A local grocery store offers Kalbi marinade in the meat department, and charges a decent amount of money for it. I'm happy to report that I won't be buying it anymore, because now I can make it myself! The only thing that I will be changing is to add some red pepper flakes to give this a bit more of a kick. Also, I'm not a rib fan, so I used flank steak, marinated for 12 hours. Really loved it. Thanks for posting!

This was yummy!!!! I used pork strips instead of short ribs. I grilled them on my countertop, electric grill. These were tender and tasty. I had them with a baked potato. I poured the remaining marinade(after marinating and grilling the pork) in a saucepan and boiled it for a couple of minutes and used it as a dip for the pork after grilling it. I also put some of the marinade on my potato. I will definitely be making this again.

Lovely recipe.. simple and versatile enough to adapt to our tastes. Did not have short ribs, so I just used sliced beef. Cooked it in a skillet together with thinly sliced potatoes and mushrooms, and thickened the sauce with a little cornstarch. Thank you for sharing.
