I got this from a OAMC website. My family loves it and you can use any kind of jam or preserves. Blackberry, raspberry, peach, basically whatever you like. This works well with the fruit only preserves also. This is good served with noodles or rice to soak up the sauce.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Spray treat a 13 x 9 pan with cooking spray.
  2. 2
It is not necessary to brown the chicken, but if you wish you may brown pieces in a large frying pan before placing in the baking dish.
  3. 3
Place chicken pieces in baking dish.
  4. 4
Mix remaining ingredients together and pour over chicken.
  5. 5
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until chicken juices run clear.
  6. 6
To freeze: Place chicken pieces and sauce ingredients in a large freezer bag. Seal, pushing out as much air as possible. Label and freeze.
  7. 7
To serve: Thaw in fridge overnight. Proceed with cooking directions.

Really, really, really good. We baked ours in the oven although I think the next time we grill out I will prepare some as well. It was so yummy we were almost fighting to lick the baking sheet, j/k but really we were.

We had this quite awhile ago and I forgot to review it. It was very good, and I will be experimenting with different jams and preserves. Thank you for sharing!

I made this as a "dump" recipe by dumping the chicken (I used thighs) and the ingredients into a ziploc bag and then freezing. To serve, I dumped the contents of the bag into my crockpot and then let it cook all day and it worked perfectly. I have added this to my OAMC chicken collection, thanks!

This was a very flavorful, yet easy to prepare dish. I downsized to feed four & used chicken thighs instead of breasts, but otherwise followed the recipe as posted. I liked the subtle spiciness from the chili powder. It was sweet, but not overly so. I served this withMizzNezz's Fried Sweet Potatoes & Country Lady's Pan Roasted Asparagus. Thanks, Jill.
