Anybody who knows me, knows that I can't bake to save my life. My gf jokes that whenever I bake biscuits then you know the NHL is short on pucks! So when I came across this little gem of a recipe she had to eat her words, literally, when they came out perfect! I found the recipe in a non-profit cookbook called "A Little Taste Of Home".

12 biscuits (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Cut shortening into dry ingredients with a pastry blender.

    Add milk and cheese.
  3. 3
    Mix and turn out on a floured board.
  4. 4
    Knead 8 - 10 times.
  5. 5
    Cut with round cutter.
  6. 6
    Bake at 400 degrees F for 12 - 15 minutes.

You hit the jackpot with this recipe! DH raved over them. He likes his plain, I loved them with sweet butter- YUM! I used sharp cheddar cheese and did add about 2 tbsp of additional flour. Thanks for sharing. Made for Spring PAC 2009

    Delicious biscuits, very easy to make. I have to admit, I may have added a little more than the recommended amount of cheese - :yummy: Thanks for posting. Made and enjoyed for PAC, Spring 2009

    Melt in your mouth wonderful biscuits. Keeper recipe, these are so tender and full of cheesy goodness! Made for PAC Spring 09.
