I Can't Believe It's Bass!

Recipe #346075 | 15 min | add private note

By: Meaghan G.
Dec 30, 2008

My brother and I concocted this after a day of limiting out on Small and Large Mouth Bass. I'm not a fishy fish eater, but this was really quite tasty.

SERVES 4 , 8 fillets (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 8 bass fillets

  • 1 (12 ounce) can of your favorite beer
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

Directions

  1. 1
Pour 1/2 can beer in a deep skillet (we usually prefer cast iron for this) and bring to a boil.
  2. 2
Rub garlic on fish fillets and place in skillet.
  3. 3
    Top with remaining beer.
  4. 4
Simmer gently until fish is cooked through.
