Hummus With Chipotles & a Hint of Orange

I kicked up my Hummus Rich, Smooth, & Healthy hummus by adding chipotle in adobo sauce and refreshing orange juice and zest! Serve with toasted pitas. Use as a spread in wraps. Spread on toasted rye topped with ripe tomatoes. Also add diced roasted red peppers if you like.

I love hummus and all the ingredients in this recipe but I think the orange was too overpowering. Perhaps using less zest or more acid like mixing in a little lemon juice would help.

This had some really nice flavors. You could taste a little of the orange, chipotle and garlic in each bite. Went well with some pita chips.

This recipe was nice and simple. I did have to add a little extra seasoning. Even though there was a chipotle pepper, it was still a little to bland for our taste.
