How to Bake a Cake (With Small Children Around!)

SERVES 3 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    Preheat Oven, Get out bowl, spoons and ingredients, and Grease and Flour Pan.

    Remove 5 crayons, 2 toy cars and One stuffed Bear from kitchen table.
  3. 3
    Measure 1 Cup Flour.
  4. 4
    Remove childrens hands from flour, wash flour off children.
  5. 5
    Measure one more cup flour to replace flour on floor and table.
  6. 6
    Put flour, baking powder and salt in a sifter.
  7. 7
    Get dust pan to sweep up pieces of broken bowl children have knocked onto the floor.

    Get another bowl, answer phone, return to table.
  9. 9
    Get greased pan and a new bowl, remove crayon from pan.
  10. 10
    Go look for quiet children
  11. 11
    Answer phone again.
  12. 12
    Return to kitchen and take greased pan from child, who flees, knocking new bowl off of table -- again.

    Wash floor, table, walls, dishes and children.

    Call local bakery.
  15. 15
    Go Lie down.

You could also borrow my three and half dd. She never does all these stuff (knock on wood and I don't want to make bad eyes) but the way she looks in the end is another story. I can barely find a clean spot on her face. She puts her little head in the bowl and licks the leftovers. And than I lick her too, well just a little... a sweet cake mix and a sweet little face:that's the best combination anyone can get. But I'm always staying away from her hands, I can only imagine the places theyre exploring!

    LOL, so true...it's almost identical to what I go through. Except for the part where I get to lie down at the end. Thanks for posting and giving me such a good laugh!
