Hot Jezebel

Recipe #347990 | 25 min | 25 min prep

This I got from another recipe exchange site a few years back now. Just try it! It's addictive! I've brought this appetizer to many parties & it always does very well! Goes well with what ever cracker you like. You can adjust the hotness of the horseradish as desired. This is great when it has a day to meld in the refrigerator before serving, but it is not necessary - about 20 minutes at least would be nice and that is what I included in the prep time.

SERVES 12 -14 , 1 brick (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 ounce) jar apricot preserves

  • 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (I like Grey Poupon for this recipe)
  • 1/16 teaspoon ground black pepper, to taste

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

Directions

  1. 1
Stir together first four ingredients in a small bowl. Cover and chill 20 minutes or overnight.
  2. 2
When it is time to serve, pour apricot mixture over the block of cream cheese on a serving platter and serve with your favorite crackers!
