I enjoyed this but I too found the ginger flavour really subtle & when I got to the bottom of my cup realised why, the minced ginger was sitting on the bottom of the cup even though I made as directed & really stirred it in, it didn't melt into the drink as I would have liked, still tasty stuff though, thanks BK!

Being a Lover of Ginger this hit the SPOT! I used a heaping teaspoon of Crystallized Ginger , Ginger Syrup & Ginger Sugar finely minced (which swell when added to the liquid). Adding it to the milk as it warmed to infuse more flavor from the ginger. Also used the sugar from the recipe Crystallized Ginger , Ginger Syrup & Ginger Sugar in place of the brown sugar. Topped with a sprinkle of the same sugar. Serve with a spoon to get all the yummy bits of ginger from the bottom of the mug! Warming for sure! A delight definitely! Satisfying Oh Yeah! Made for Comfort cafe http://www.recipezaar.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?t=288536&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=915 Thanks.

BK - this is 10 star!! This is the BEST hot chocolate drink I have tried recently, I LOVED THIS!! I liked it, can you tell?!! LOL! I am a HUGE ginger fan, so this already scored before I made it. I used cadbury's cocoa and skimmed milk with low fat single cream; the whipped cream for the topping was also low fat/light - I NEED to lose weight! I topped the delectable beverage off with minced candied ginger and a sprinkling of ground ginger for a very perky drink! The sugar quanitity seemed a little on the high side - so I only used 1 teaspoon of brown sugar. My ginger very evident in this drink, but I DID mince it finely and REALLY whisked it a lot before serving and drinking this, maybe that helped a bit. Made for Comfort Cafe January 2009 and ON MY menu for hot drinks throughout the winter months, maybe with a dash of cognac next time?? Merci, FT
