These are great for parties, Super Bowl weekends and barbeques. I once made a batch with 200 wings for a party and there wasn’t a single wing left at the end of it!

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Combine one set of the scallions, soy sauce, hoisin, sesame oil, honey, ginger, vinegar, mustard, cayenne pepper and garlic in a large bowl.
  2. 2
Add the wings, tossing to coat.
  3. 3
Cover and refrigerate up to 1 day (24 hours).
  4. 4
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  5. 5
Remove the wings from the marinade and throw away the marinade.
  6. 6
Arrange the wings in a single layer on baking sheets.
  7. 7
Bake for 15 minutes, turn, baste, and bake for another 15 minutes.
  8. 8
Increase the temperature to 450 degrees and bake for another 15 minutes, or until crispy and browned.
  9. 9
Remake the marinade and pour it into a saucepan.
  10. 10
Bring the mixture to a boil.
  11. 11
Boil for 5 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  12. 12
Pour into a serving bowl and use as a dipping sauce.

The wings were good. I probably will make them again. I would call them the best wings I ever made, but they will do for a change.

Excellent! Just make sure you cook any residue marinade if you intend to use it as dipping sauce kim127 as the uncooked chicken juice would not be good!

These are awesome!!! Very easy to prepare. This is definately a keeper. The only thing I did different was reserve a little of the sauce for dipping from the original batch instead of making another whole batch. Thank you Mirj!

Mirj these are suoer good- I baked them at 7 AM this morning and they nearly didn't get to the freezer! I tasted just 2 and it was so hard to resist another. These are part of the appetizers frozen for over Christmas. I put a sheet of non stick foil on the cookie sheet and baked them for 15 min, flipped them and baked for a further 15 (like the recipe says). For the final baking at 450 I only did them for 5 minutes allowing final sizzle time when I reheat them out of the freezer. Some of the finely minced scallions clung to the wings and look super., I used a "bakers friend" under the cookie sheet to ensure they did not burn on the bottom Thanks Mirj - a winner
